Camera functions
The Lomo’Instant Automat is an instant camera that is characterized by its fully automatic exposure control. Aperture, shutter speed and flash are automatically adjusted to the ambient conditions to ensure optimal exposure. This makes the camera particularly easy to use and enables even inexperienced photographers to take great shots.
The Lomo’Instant Automat has various functions and accessories for creative design options. Included lens attachments enable fisheye, wide-angle and close-up shots. Experimental photographers can achieve artistic effects with multiple exposures and long exposures of up to 30 seconds.
The camera is powered by two CR2 batteries (eBay / Amazon*), the remote control requires a CR1632 battery.
Instant films for the Lomo’Instant Automat
The Lomo’Instant Automat uses Instax Mini films made by Fujifilm. These films are available separately and are not included with the camera. Fujifilm offers both color films (eBay / Amazon*) and the Instax Mini Monochrome* for black and white photography. The color films are available in various special editions. One film cassette contains ten images.
Egon Schiele
Egon Schiele (1890-1918) was an Austrian painter and draftsman who is one of the most important representatives of Expressionism. His works, often erotic and provocative, are characterized by angular lines, distorted perspectives and expressive colors. They often depict nude figures in intimate or vulnerable poses and express both beauty and pain.
Schiele was part of Viennese Modernism and was heavily influenced by Gustav Klimt. He was a member of the Neukunstgruppe and his works are often classified as Expressionism. His depictions of sexuality led to conflicts with society. Schiele died of the Spanish flu at the age of 28.
